CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, August 24, 1999, <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Margaret Connolly <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Administrative Services Manager Joyce Pruitt Hottinger <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Community Development Director Cindy Sherman <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Police Chief David Gustafson <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />at the <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:05 p.m. and called <br />upon John Manuel, Brian Olsen, and Luke Roskop, Eagle Scouts, to lead in the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec recognized John, Brian and Luke for the achievement of becoming Eagle Scouts. <br />He explained that an Eagle Scout is a high achievement and that several requirements have to be <br />met. He then read a Proclamation that had been presented to John Manuel, Brian Olsen and <br />Luke Roskop at their Eagle Scout Court of Honor. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec presented Fire Chief Kapler and Fire Captain Jim Sharp with a plaque from <br />Diamonds Sports Bar for Mr. Sharp's participation in an incident that took place at Diamonds <br />where a pitcher was hit in the head with softball. He explained that Mr. Sharp was already on the <br />scene and if it had not been for his quick response to the accident, the injured player may not be <br />alive today. <br /> <br />City Council/August 24, 1999 <br /> Page 2 of 25 <br /> <br /> <br />
