Councilmember Hendriksen questioned if the area behind the house is designated as a ponding <br />area. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich replied that the City has a drainage utility easement. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if it was the standard ten foot easement. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied no. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen questioned if the City would be exceeding the boundaries of the <br />easement. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich explained that that is why they are going to survey the property. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen questioned what a reasonable slope for a drainage easement would <br />be. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied that he would have to do some research. <br /> <br />Councilmember Connolly suggested having Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Kapler and City <br />Attorney Goodrich resolve the problem. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Connolly, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to direct staff <br />to locate the City easement, contact the design engineer and determine what the original contours <br />were and if they were in accordance with standard practices, and determine who the builder of <br />the home was. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Connolly, Zimmerman, <br />Anderson, and Hendriksen.
