Councilmember Hendriksen stated that he will not support the change if it is going to be <br />perceived that the Committee is trying to outdo the Council. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman expressed that ever since Councilmember Connolly has been <br />elected to the Council there has been a couple of the members that have not supported her and he <br />is upset by that. He stated that there is no reason that she should not be placed on a Committee <br />where she can learn. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson replied that she has a problem with the open meeting law, not with <br />Councilmember Connolly. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman stated that then the Finance Committee should be changed. <br /> <br />Council discussed at length the open meeting law. <br /> <br />Councihnember Cmmolly requested that Council be given a clarification of the open meeting <br />law. <br /> <br />Councihnember Hendriksen stated that he would like to have the ability to attend any Committee <br />meeting, and reqnested that Staff advertise the meetings so that his presence would be legal. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated the open meeting law issue is a very touchy subject, because of the public <br />perception. <br /> <br />Case #14: Report from Finance Committee <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Award Coutract for Engineering and Inspection Services for the Construction of <br />Well #5 and Water Tower #2 <br /> <br />Item was tabled. <br /> <br />2) Amend Park and Trail Dedication Rates <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Anderson, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to adopt <br />Resolution #99-09-187 increasing residential cash contribution to $1,200 per unit and the trail <br />fee to $300 per milt. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
