MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />1) Local Government Aid <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec noted that the Governor is looking into eliminating Local Government Aid, which <br />could be detrimental to the City. <br /> <br />2) Using the Internet for the Bidding Process <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec reported that the City of Fridley contacted him to see if the City of Ramsey would <br />be interested in using the Internet for advertising bids. This practice is currently not allowed but <br />they are trying to get legislation in regards to use of the internet for bidding. <br /> <br />3) Consent Agenda Error <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson noted that in the consent agenda it states the public hearings will be <br />scheduled for November 26'h and that should be changed to November 23rd. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Anderson, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to correct the <br />consent agenda to read the public hearings will be scheduled for November 23rd, rather than <br />November 26t~. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, Hendriksen, Connolly, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />4) Meeting with ACCAP <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that he thinks the ACCAP meeting should be done during a <br />Council meeting rather than at a work session. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that ACCAP requested some informal clarification from the <br />Council on the development agreement and noted that he will place the item at the end of the <br />Council agenda on November 2Td for discussion. <br /> <br />5) Speed Humps on Dysprosium Street <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen questioned the Council as to their opinion of the speed humps on <br />Dysprosium Street. <br /> <br />City Council/November 9, 1999 <br /> Page 14 of 16 <br /> <br /> <br />
