He explained that the district would include 16 parcels north
of Highway #10, south of the railroad tracks, east of Sunfish Lake Boulevard, and west of City
limits. If the Council adopts the ordinance the Council is eligible to bring forth an improvement
project.

City Engineer Jankowski stated that he has initiated work on a feasibility study for stormwater
drainage improvements in the area and should be completed in the next couple of weeks.

Citizen Input

Winslow Holasek, 6159 Highway #10, Ramsey, inquired if they have a feasibility study or know
the estimated costs of the project.

City Attorney Goodrich replied that there will be an additional public hearing if a project is
brought forward. The decision being made was only in regards to establishing a Mississippi
River Stormwater Subdrainage District.

Mr. Holasek stated that it would be nice to see a feasibility study before a decision is made and
noted that he would be opposed to anything without seeing a cost to the project.

City Attorney Goodrich replied that the Council needs to establish the district first.

Mt'. Holasek inquired as to estimated costs of the project.

City Council/November 9, 1999
