Councilmember Kurak introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #01 -08 -312 <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0568 RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FROM MILTON E. AND VIRGINIA L. GLASS FOR A CONDITIONAL USE <br />PERMIT TO EXCEED SIGN SIZE RESTRICTIONS <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from Milton E Glass and <br />Virginia L. Glass for a conditional use permit to exceed the sign size restrictions on the property <br />legally described as follows: <br />All that part of Lots 2 and 3, Auditor's Subdivision Number 34, according to the map <br />or plat thereof on file and of record in the office of the County Recorder in and for <br />Anoka County, Minnesota, lying Northwesterly of the following described line: <br />Beginning at a point in the Northeasterly line of State Highway No. 10 which point is <br />585 feet Northwesterly from the Southeasterly corner of said Lot 3, measured along <br />the Northeasterly line of said State Highway No. 10; thence Northeasterly to a point <br />in the southwest line of the right -of -way of the Great Northern Railway Company, <br />which point is 490 feet Northwesterly from the Northeast corner of said Lot 3, <br />measured along the Southwesterly line of said Railway right -of -way, thence <br />Northwesterly along the Southwesterly line of said Railway right -of -way, 495 feet to <br />the point of beginning of the line to be described; thence Southerly to a point in the <br />Northeasterly line of State Highway No. 10, which point is 400 feet from the point of <br />beginning, said line there terminating. <br />( "Subject Property ") <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br />1. That Milton E. and Virginia L. Glass, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant," properly applied <br />for a conditional use permit to exceed the 100 square foot per side sign size restriction by 80 <br />square feet per side. <br />2. That the Applicant appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public hearing <br />pursuant to Section 9.03.04 of the City Code on August 7, 2001, and that said public hearing <br />was properly advertised, and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated <br />as a part of these findings by reference. <br />3. That the Subject Property is approximately 2.48 acres in size. <br />4. That the Subject Property and the parcels to the east, west, and south are zoned B -3 Highway <br />Business and the property to the north is zoned BW, Business Warehouse. <br />
