Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case#4: Resolution to Request Continuance for an Interim Use Permit for a <br /> Temporary Office Structure; Case ofAmcor Precast <br /> <br />Planning Consultant Scalzo stated that on November 28, 1995, the City issued an interim use <br />permit to Amcor Precast at 6640 Industry Avenue NW, Ramsey, for the utilization of a 24' x 60' <br />modular office structure until June 30, 1997, to complete their assessment of space needs for <br />preparing a site plan to develop the site as a permanent location for the applicant. After <br />determining that it was premature, because of lower than projected sales volume, to commit to <br />developing permanent office space on the property, the applicant applied for and was granted a <br />second interim use permit of two years for the use of the temporary structure. The applicants are <br />requesting another interim use permit to utilize the modular office structure for a two year period. <br />Amcor is presently looking for design build contractors for a 24,000 square foot manufacturing <br />facility to be built in the year 2000, with new offices and a batch plan to be constructed in 2001. <br />Staff recommended continuing the application until the City is able to review and adopt new text <br />supporting the processing and applications of interim use permits.
