Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />( "Subject Property ") <br />RESOLUTION #01 -09 -364 <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #364 RELATING TO A REQUEST <br />FROM BLUE LINE COLLISION CENTER FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO <br />EXCEED SIGN SQUARE FOOTAGE AND HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS ESTABLISHED <br />IN CITY CODE <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from Blue Line Collision <br />Center for a conditional use permit to exceed the sign square footage and height restrictions on <br />the property legally described as follows: <br />Lot 9, Auditor's Subdivision No. 96, According to the recorded plat thereof <br />and situated in Anoka County, Minnesota. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br />1. That Blue Line Collision Center, hereinafter referred to as the "Applicant," properly applied <br />for a conditional use permit to exceed sign square footage and height restrictions on the <br />Subject Property. <br />2. That the Applicant appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public hearing <br />pursuant to Section 9.03.04 of the City Code on September 4, 2001, and that said public <br />hearing was properly advertised, and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby <br />incorporated as a part of these findings by reference. <br />3. That the Subject Property is approximately 19,000 square feet (.43 acres) in size. <br />4. That the Subject Property and the parcels to the north, east and west are zoned B -3 Highway <br />Business and the properties to the south are zoned R -1 Residential. <br />5. That Section 9.12.08, Subd. 2, of the Ramsey City Code states that wall signs shall be limited <br />to 15% of the front building facade and that sign height shall not exceed the top of the <br />parapet wall. <br />6. That the Applicant is allowed 93 square feet of wall signage on the Subject Property. <br />7. That a 320 square foot wall sign, 160 square foot roof billboard sign, and a 30 square foot <br />• pylon sign currently exists on the Subject Property. <br />8. That the Applicant is proposing to remove the existing wall sign and roof billboard sign. <br />
