Council Business <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:14 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to introduce an ordinance <br />to vacate the easements for drainage and utility purposes on Lot 1, Block 3 River Pines 5th <br />Addition. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Olson, Elvig, Jeffrey, <br />Pearson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Cook noted that the vacation will be contingent on a <br />drainage and utility plan that works. <br /> <br />Case #2: Ramsey Lions Application for a One-Day, 3.2 Malt Liquor License <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec noted this application is for the Community Picnic scheduled for Saturday, June 3, <br />2006 at Central Park, put on by the Ramsey Lions. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to approve the application <br />for the Ramsey Lions Club for a one-day 3.2% malt liquor license for the Community Picnic <br />scheduled for Saturday, June 3, 2006, at Central Park, and to approve staff's request to waive the <br />fee for such an event. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Elvig, Jeffrey, Olson, <br />Pearson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case/t3: <br /> <br />Request for Vacation of Easements in the Plat of Brookfield Second <br />Addition; Case of Oakwood Land Development <br /> <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon reviewed that the City Council granted final plat <br />approval to Brookfield 2"a Addition at the April 25, 2006 City Council meeting. The plat of <br />Brookfield replats Lot 1, Block 3 of Now and Then Estates, which contains the usual drainage <br />and utility easements. These existing easements are being replaced with new drainage and utility <br />easements as part of Brookfield 2nd Addition. Staff recommends adoption of the ordinance to <br />vacate the drainage and utility easements within Lot 1, Block 3, Now and Then Estates. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to adopt Ordinance #06- <br />15 to vacate the drainage and utility easements on Lot 1, Block 3, Now and Then Estates. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was performed by the Recording Secretary: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec: aye <br />Councilmember Cook: aye <br />Councilmember Elvig: aye <br />Councilmember Jeffrey: aye <br />Councilmember Olson: aye <br /> <br />City Council / May 9, 2006 <br />Page 5 of 30 <br /> <br /> <br />
