y
c
Ci ty of
7550 Su nwood Drive NW a Ramsey,MN 55303
► x 3 City Hall: 73.427.1410 •Fax:. 7 .427.5543 ,.
www.cityoframsey.com
POTENTIAL PEDESTRIAN TRAIL CONNECTION SURVEY IP #24-07
Purpose of this Survey
The City of Ramsey is seeking input from residents of Bowers Drive and the Riverstone South development on
whether a 10Mfoot bituminous pedestrian trail connection would be supported between Bowers Drive and the
new Riverstone South development. Enclosed is an exhibit showing the location of the potential pedestrian
trail connection corridor,as well as amenities this trail would provide more convenient access to.
During the Riverstone South development process, the City surveyed Bowers Drive residents to see if they
supported construction of a public road connection,a Public Safety and Public Works maintenance
connection,or no second connection to Bowers Drive at all. The results of that survey demonstrated that '
Bowers Drive residents did not support a second connection between Bowers Drive and the new Riverstone
South development. At the time, the City Council voted to not construct a second access road. However,it
was also decided that this topic should be explored again if/when a future opportunity presented itself.
In 2024,Bowers Drive is proposed t0 receive pavement overlay improvements with 2024 Neighborhood
Pavement Overlays,Improvement Project#24--07,and a paved trail connection could be cost-effectively
constructed as part of this project. Staff will therefore share the results of this survey with the City Council
while discussingwhether to add a pedestrian trail connection to the project. If a trail connection were to be .
p p ]
constructed, there would be no direct cost to local residents.
Property owner Contact Information
The City requests that only one response be submitted per property receiving this survey, and that the name
and address of the respondent be provided below.17
Property Owner Name.
Property Address:
Survey(question
r
For purposes of pedestrian connectivity to area amenities,do you support a second access to Bowers Drive?
f
YES,I support a paved pedestrian trail connection.
NO,i do not support a paved pedestrian trail connection,
Comments:
Ple se return rn the enclosed selfaddress%d scam ed envelo a.b .Nlarch;lS U24 .
.. . ,
p p y
It is our inission to work together to responsibly grojv our community, and to provide gitality,cost-effective and efficient government
services,
i^
