CHAPTER 9 COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey Chapter 9 Committee conducted a work session on Thursday, June 27, 2002, at the <br />Ramsey Fire Station Number II, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: <br />Members Absent: <br />Mayor Tom Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan Anderson <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br />Planning Commission Member Michael Reeve <br />Planning Commission Chairperson Michael Nixt <br />Planning Commission Member Kathleen Sweet <br />Planning Commission Member Eric Watson <br />Also Present: Associate Planner Megan Wald <br />Hoisington Koegler Consultant Loren Gordon <br />The Chapter 9 Committee was called to order at 6:30 p.m. <br />DISCUSSION <br />1) Review Business Zoning Districts <br />Councilmember Anderson asked if the revisions being made to the ordinance are consistent and <br />harmonious with the Comprehensive Plan. <br />Loren Gordon, Hoisington Koegler Consultant, indicated they are. <br />Mr. Gordon noted the revisions to the Chapter 9 industrial district and business districts that had <br />been made as discussed at the May 23, 2002 meeting. <br />Councilmember Hendriksen asked Mr. Gordon to relate the zoning districts to the land use <br />designations in the Comprehensive Plan. <br />Mr. Gordon explained the approach was to combine B-1, B-2, and B-3 into two districts; the B-1 <br />General Business District and the B-2 Highway Business District. <br />Councilmember Hendriksen asked about the mixed use area and if it was located south of <br />Highway 10 and east of Ramsey Boulevard. <br />
