A minimum of one lane of traffic shall be maintained on all residential streets during the work. <br /> The Contractor shall have an operator on call at all times to ensure traffic movement within the <br /> project. Local access shall be maintained at all times. <br /> The Contractor shall notify the local Police and Fire Departments prior to commencing <br /> construction that will restrict traffic on any City street to the degree that emergency traffic could <br /> not be immediately facilitated. The Contractor shall provide necessary signs, flashers and <br /> barricades for any parking or driving lane closures. All signing shall conform to the most current <br /> version of the MNDOT Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices. All plans for lane closures <br /> shall be submitted to the Engineer for approval prior to any closures. <br /> The cost of all work related to continuation and control of traffic,including maintenance of traffic, <br /> provision of continued access and the placement, maintenance or removal of traffic control devices <br /> should be included in the bid item unit price for Traffic Control. In the event the Contractor fails <br /> to maintain the street or provide signing, the City may perform the work and deduct the cost from <br /> any amount due the Contractor. <br /> 7. Parking Restrictions <br /> The Contractor will be responsible for posting "No Parking" signs as needed in advance of <br /> commencing work. The Contractor shall also be responsible for the removal of the"No Parking" <br /> signs at the end of the work day as work in completed in each project area. The City will arrange <br /> for the moving of any parked cars which would interfere with the work. However, the Contractor <br /> shall include in their bid the cost of returning to up to 10 street segments to complete pothole <br /> patching due to parked cars. <br /> 8. Cleanup and Restoration <br /> When the work has been completed, the Contractor shall remove from the site all extra materials, <br /> equipment, debris and other supplies. All surfaces disturbed during the construction period shall <br /> be returned to their original condition or better. <br /> 9. Permits <br /> Wherever the work shall enter into the right-of-way of any County Highway, the Contractor shall <br /> obtain a permit from the Anoka County Highway Department. Contact the Anoka County <br /> Highway Department at(763) 862-4200. Whenever work shall enter the right-of-way of Highway <br /> 10 or Trunk Highway 47, the Contractor shall obtain a permit from MnDOT. A City Contractor's <br /> License ($50) is also required from the building department at (763) 433-9833. <br /> 10. Equipment Storage <br /> SP 2 <br />
