5. 1. <br />Public Works Committee <br />Meeting Date: 05/21/2024 <br />Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: <br />Title: <br />Consider Recommending City Council Order Request for Proposals for 2025 Capital Improvement Program <br />Projects Topographic Surveys, Geotechnical Services and Utility Testing <br />Purpose/Background: <br />Purpose: <br />The purpose of this case is to consider recommending City Council order request for proposals for 2025 Capital <br />Improvement Program projects topographic surveys, geotechnical services and utility testing. <br />Background: <br />The current 2024 through 2033 10-Year Capital Improvement Program (CIP) proposes street reconstructions of <br />the following streets in 2025: <br />• Fox Ridge Estates Ist & 2nd subdivision <br />o Design materials for this subdivision were gathered in 2023, project design is currently underway. <br />• MSA Sunwood Drive between Nowthen Boulevard (CSAH 5) and Erkium Street <br />• MSA Alpine Drive between Sunfish Lake Boulevard (CR 57) and Saint Francis Boulevard (TH 47) <br />o The CIP identifies two segments of Alpine Drive which are proposed to be combined into one project. <br />• Dickenson Mississippi Estate subdivision <br />• High Point subdivision <br />o The CIP identified Section 22 Unplatted, which is proposed to be combined with the High Point <br />subdivision project. <br />• Sorteberg's subdivision <br />The following streets are proposed to receive a pavement mill and overlay in 2025: <br />• Beaudry's 2nd subdivision <br />• Ramsey Town Center subdivision <br />• Ramsey Town Center 2nd subdivision <br />• Ramsey Town Center 4th subdivision <br />• Ramsey Town Center 6th subdivision <br />• Ramsey Town Center 7th subdivision <br />• Ramsey Town Center IP 05-22 subdivision <br />• Rum River Hills subdivision <br />• Village of Sunfish Lake subdivision <br />o Generally, pavement mill and overlay projects only require topographic survey of the pedestrian <br />ramps for ADA upgrades. <br />In total, the 2024 — 2033 CIP proposes to reconstruct approximately 5.85 miles and overlay 4.38 miles of public <br />roads in 2025. For comparison, in 2024 the Pavement Management Program included 7.03 miles of <br />reconstructions, and 5.76 miles of overlays, in addition to the 0.83 miles of streets included in the COR <br />Infrastructure Improvements. <br />Staff will use the materials as design aids for the improvement project.
