Seasonal Maintenance Worker - Temporary -Full -Time Salary: $16.00 Per Hourly Closing Date: Open Until Filed Primary Objective of Position: is to assist City staff with the general upkeep of park grounds, streets, trails, buildings and related facilities and equipment. Job duties include mowing and trimming, pruning and planting trees, landscape projects, maintaining athletic fields, picking up trash and streets and utility maintenance. These are temporary, non -union positions working up to forty (40) hours per week, Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. These positions start in May and June and run through the Fall months, depending on availability, workload and rules of Minnesota Public Employment Labor Relations (PELRA). There is no guarantee of further employment after the season has concluded. All candidates must be at least 17 years of age or older by June 15, 2024, and have a valid Minnesota driver's license in good standing. Starting pay is $16.00 per hour. Streets Maintenance Workers (2 Openings) Salary: $27.18 - $29.90 Hourly Closing Date: June 2, 2024, 11:59 pm The primary objectives of this position: is to provide general maintenance of public streets, right-of-ways, storm sewer systems, parking lots and any other municipal facilities or equipment; as well as snow plowing of public streets, trails and walks. The Streets Maintenance Worker is required to be a member of the on -call team and work a rotating on -call schedule 7-8 weeks per year, following their 6-months of probation. Members of the on -call team must reside within approximately 30 minutes from the Public Works Facility (14199 Jasper Street NW) and be available to respond during evenings, weekends and holidays. The position reports to the Streets Supervisor. The 2024 hiring range is $27.184 to $29.903 per hour, depending on qualifications.
