Personal use: Personal use of City vehicles by City employees or elected officials is <br /> prohibited without the express written consent of the City Administrator or the Cit <br /> Administrator's designee. <br /> 11.5 Telecommuting/Remote WorkPolicy <br /> Definition <br /> Telecommuting is a work arrangement where t employee,,- works from home or <br /> another remote work site away from the primary traditional work place. <br /> Consideration <br /> Consideration for telecommuting arrangements may be made on a case by case basis and only <br /> in situations where the employee can demonstrate a benefit to the City. Telecommuting is not <br /> appropriate for all employees, it is not a City wide benefit or entitlement, in no way changes <br /> the terms and conditions of employment with the City and is not a substitute for dependent <br /> care. <br /> Participation <br /> Full-time and part-time employees, , <br /> may apply to participate. To be considered, eEmployees must have successfully completed <br /> probation, received a satisfactory rating on their last performance evaluation and not had <br /> disciplinary action taken against them during the past year. Seniority will not be a basis <br /> for selecting employees to participate in_this program. The City Administrator and <br /> Department Head must agree to all telecommutin_ arrangements and the arrangement may <br /> be revoked at any time for any reason. <br /> Part-time employees must have a regular schedule in which they would otherwise work five <br /> days per week in the office for at least 28 hours per week.
