5. 13. <br /> CC Regular Session <br /> Meeting Date: 07/09/2024 <br /> Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: Enhance City's communication through transparency and accountability. <br /> Information <br /> Title <br /> Adopt Resolution#24-183 Appointing Election Judges for the Primary Election on August 13, 2024. <br /> Purpose/Background: <br /> For each Election, Council is asked to formally appoint Election Judges to work the polling locations. A <br /> resolution is attached appointing Election Judges to serve for the Primary Election scheduled for August 13, 2024. <br /> Minnesota State Statute 20413.21 is attached. The statute requires election judges to be appointed at least 25 days <br /> prior to the election. Ramsey will have nine polling locations open for the election. Staffs recommendation at this <br /> time is to secure six to eight judges for each location. In almost all cases, a few judges end up not being able to <br /> work the day of the election.
