Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:
<br /> RESOLUTION #24-183
<br /> RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE PRIMARY ELECTION
<br /> ON AUGUST 13, 2024
<br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey will be conducting a Primary Election on Tuesday,
<br /> August 13, 2024; and
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 204B.21, election judges for
<br /> precincts in a municipality must be appointed by the governing body of that municipality; and
<br /> WHEREAS, the hourly rate of pay will be $12.50 for student judges, $12.50 for regular
<br /> election judges and $14.50 for head judges; and
<br /> WHEREAS,when necessary, regular City staff working as judges on election day will be
<br /> paid their normal hourly wage.
<br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows:
<br /> 1) That the following individuals be appointed to serve as election judges for the Primary
<br /> Election to be held on August 13, 2024:

<br /> Bendtsen, Billie Jo Bishop, PaulaJean Chicoine, Roger Clem, Sandra Conlon, Sarah

<br /> Dusbabek, Kevin Efram, Todd Embury, Marivic Engquist, Susan Fox, John Freeburg,
<br /> Colleen Graber, Tim Graber, Deb Hanson, Brian Heichel, Brian Heigl, Andy Hillebregt,
<br /> Del Howe III, Peggy Howe, Mary Ann Kellner, Louise Kvick, James Lahr, Jennifer

<br /> 2) That Council authorize staff to train and hire additional election judges not named here
<br /> should the need arise.
<br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember ,
<br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
