CC Regular Session Meeting Date: 07/09/2024 Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: Not Applicable Information Title: Adopt Resolution#24-180 Accepting Bids and Awarding Contract for Improvement Project#22-17, Ramsey Villas North Sound Wall Improvements Purpose/Background: Purpose: To adopt Resolution#24-180 accepting bids and awarding a construction contract for Improvement Project #22-17, Ramsey Villas North Sound Wall Improvements. Background: This project was reviewed by the Public Works Committee during the following regularly scheduled Committee meetings; •October 19, 2021 *January 18,2022 •February 15, 2022 •May 17,2022 •November 15,2022 .April 16, 2024 AgendaQuick cases and meeting minutes from each of the PWC meetings are attached. The cases and minutes contain all pertinent background information. Also attached are the final construction plans prepared by City staff,which have been reviewed and approved by the Minnesota Department of Transportation(MnDOT), as well as a copy of executed Cooperative Construction Agreement#10563 5 8,which allows the City to construct the sound wall within MnDOT right-of-way based on certain conditions. Pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution#24-150, adopted May 28, 2024,the City Council approved final plans and specifications and authorized advertisements for bids,which were advertised in the Anoka County Union Herald on Friday, May 31, and Friday, June 7, 2024. On July 1, 2024,three (3)bids were received, opened and tabulated, and the following bids were found to comply with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids. Contractor i Total Bid Reshetar Systems, Inc. $5801.28 Parkstone Contracting, LLC $921702.00 Urban Companies, LLC $166,350.00 Engineer's Estimate 1$76.800.00 Reshetar Systems, Inc. submitted the low bid in the amount of$58,001.28 for construction of the improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids.
