TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS <br /> SECTION 32 2350 <br /> CLEAN AND PREPARE TRAIL SURFACE <br /> PART 1 — GENERAL <br /> 1.1 SUMMARY <br /> A. Section includes preparation of the existing bituminous surface to promote the <br /> successful coverage of micro-surfacing or sealcoating operations. <br /> 1.2 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> A. Measurement shall be by lump sum for all work described herein or as required <br /> by the Contract Documents. No additional measurement shall be made for <br /> items associated with the successful execution of the Work, including but not <br /> limited to labor, equipment, and materials. <br /> 1.3 PROJECT CONDITIONS <br /> A. Work shall be performed only when the following conditions are present: <br /> 1. Rain is not forecasted in the next 24 hours. <br /> B. Work shall be performed Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, during the <br /> hours of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, unless otherwise approved by the Owner. <br /> C. Contractor shall notify the Owner not less than 2 days prior to commencing <br /> work activities, excluding weekends and holidays. <br /> D. Prior to commencing work, the Contractor shall demonstrate compliance to the <br /> following requirements, to the satisfaction of the Owner: <br /> 1. Safety: <br /> a.Refer to the conditions of the Proposal Form. <br /> b.Contractor use of Owner-furnished products or materials <br /> shall not relieve the Contractor of any requirements and respon- <br /> sibilities for safety on the project. <br /> 2. Maintenance of Traffic: <br /> a. All trails shall remain CLOSED to public use during the work, un- <br /> less otherwise approved by the Owner Representative. <br /> 3. Timing of work: <br /> a.
