Chairperson Musgrove commented that previous members of the Committee were interested in <br />the study and asked if the information could be shared with the full Council. She confirmed that <br />could be done through email, recognizing the full agendas for upcoming work sessions. <br />Councilmember Olson noted that the City Administrator did send out an email with a link last <br />Friday. <br />5.05: Receive Updates on Improvement Projects, Studies, and Items of Interest <br /> <br />City Engineer/Public Works Director Westby provided an update on current and proposed City, <br />County, and MnDOT improvement projects and studies, and on other items of interest to the <br />Committee. <br /> <br />Chairperson Musgrove asked for additional details on who would be liable for costs due to the gas <br />main that was recently hit during work on Highway 10. <br /> <br />City Engineer/Public Works Director Westby stated that the first priority is to repair the issue and <br />then liability is discussed after that. He anticipated that the contractor and CenterPoint Energy <br />would work together to determine who would be responsible for costs and that the Cityhas no <br />control or responsibility for this issue. <br /> <br />Councilmember Olson asked for details on the grinding of pavement and related dust that is kicked <br />out. <br /> <br />City Engineer/Public Works Director Westby commented that the City has received many <br />complaints about Ames pavement grinding operations frombusinesses along the corridor, which <br />have been forwarded to the Ramsey Gateway project management team who will work with <br />MnDOT and Ames to determine what can be done to reduce the dust. He stated that is the location <br />where the work needs to occur and they have been tryingto minimize dust, noting that they will <br />continue to work with the property owners to resolve their concerns. <br /> <br />5.06: Review Future Topics Calendar <br /> <br />City Engineer/Public Works Director Westby reviewed the future topics calendar noting that staff <br />is attempting to move items off the list. <br /> <br />7.
