INTRODUCTION: The City of Ramsey (City) is requesting proposals for the delivery of six (6) geotechnical <br />reports for 2025 projects including; <br />1. IP 25-02 MSA Sunwood Drive Reconstruction <br />a. Sunwood Drive between Nowthen Blvd (CSAH 5) and Erkium St. <br />b. Street is approximately 0.20 miles in total length; ADT 1049; Speed Limit 30 mph <br />i. 40-feet wide, includes 2 parking lanes <br />ii. Municipal sewer and water exist under the pavement <br />c. Scope of work includes: <br />i. Five (5) soil borings to a depth of 15-feet per the attached exhibit <br />ii. Five (5) pavement cores <br />iii. A standard geotechnical report including construction feasibility for public utilities and <br />pavement section <br />1. MSA Road requires 10-ton pavement design <br />a. Typically, City would do an FDR or SFDR on this type of road <br />2. Logs of soil borings with descriptions of nomenclature used for defining the site <br />soils <br />3. Estimated subgrade support strength parameters for design of the bituminous <br />roadway and recommendations for soil corrections; Design R-Value estimate <br />4. Recommendations for earthwork associated with installation of utilities <br />5. Recommendations for management of groundwater for design of structures and <br />pavements <br />2. IP 25-03 MSA Alpine Drive Reconstruction <br />a. Alpine Drive between Sunfish Lake Blvd (CR 57) and Saint Francis Blvd (TH 47) <br />b. Street is approximately 1.02 miles in total length; ADT 2900; Speed Limit 45 mph <br />i. 45 to 65-feet wide mix of urban and rural, parking lanes both sides <br />ii. Municipal sewer and water exist under the pavement <br />c. Scope of work includes: <br />i. Sixteen (16) soil borings to a depth of 15-feet per the attached exhibit <br />ii. Sixteen (16) pavement cores <br />iii. A standard geotechnical report including construction feasibility for public utilities and <br />pavement section <br />1. MSA Road requires 10-ton pavement design <br />a. Typically, City would do an FDR or SFDR on this type of road <br />b. Potential soil corrections expected between Sodium St. and Nowthen Blvd <br />2. Logs of soil borings with descriptions of nomenclature used for defining the site <br />soils <br />3. Estimated subgrade support strength parameters for design of the bituminous <br />roadway and recommendations for soil corrections; Design R-Value estimate <br />4. Recommendations for earthwork associated with installation of utilities <br />5. Recommendations for management of groundwater for design of structures and <br />pavements <br />2 <br />
