36. <br /> <br />37. <br /> <br />38. <br /> <br />39. <br /> <br />40. <br /> <br />41. <br /> <br />That the City of Ramsey received a letter dated August 28, 1992 from Robert and <br />Karen Brown of Production Design Products, Inc., expressing opposition to the <br />Applicant's request for a conditional use perrrdt amendment. <br /> <br />That the Applicant submitted a written response dated September 1, 1992 relating to <br />incident reports on file at the City regarding operations at the facility from the time <br />period 8/7/91 to 5/28/92. <br /> <br />That two area business owners (Jerry Martin of the AH-SO Company and Robert <br />Brown of Production Design Products) spoke in opposition to the Applicant's <br />request for a conditional use permit amendment at the public hearing held on <br />September 1, 1992. <br /> <br />That the amended conditional use permit, if approved, would eliminate the <br />following violations of the conditional use permit currently in affect: <br /> <br />a) <br />b) <br /> <br />c) <br /> <br />Disassembly of engines and transmissions <br />Outside storage of debris or materials not used in or resulting from the <br />aluminum processing operation. <br />Outside storage on Lots 2 and 3 without providing for required screening. <br /> <br />That since November of 1989, there are thirty (30) complaints or incident repons <br />on file at the City of Ramsey relating to operations at Danny's Aluminum <br />Processing, Inc. These complaints consist of approximately fifteen (15) calls to <br />City Staff or Police Department initiated by local business owners, passersby or <br />anonymous persons; the other fifteen were self-generated police incident reports. <br /> <br />That by City Council approval, a competitor of Danny's Aluminum Processing, <br />Inc. was granted a conditional use permit for an aluminum processing facility that <br />included the disassembly of engines and transmissions. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Hardin upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor James Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Councilmember Gerald Zin-anerman <br />Councilmember Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
