Councilmem~er Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION g94-10-237 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0369 RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST!FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO EXPAND AN OUTDOOR <br />RECREATIONAL FACILITY IN THE INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, KRS Investments, Inc., hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", has properly <br />applied for a~ Conditional Use Permit to expand the outdoor recreational facility in an Industrial <br />District at 14622 Ferret Street N.W. to include a golf driving range on the property generally <br />legally des "¢fi~ as follows: <br /> <br />Lot i, Block 1, HY-10 RAMSEY, Anoka County, Minnesota; and <br /> <br />That part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 29, Township 32, <br />Range 25, lying northeasterly of T.H. #10 and #169, except road, subject to easement of <br />record. <br /> <br />(the "Subject Property") <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That t~he Applicant appeared before the Planning Commission for a public hearing pursuant <br />to SeCtion 9.03.04 (Conditional Use Permits) of the Ramsey City Code on October 4, 1994 <br />and tfiat said public hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public <br />hearing are hereby incorporated as a part of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />That the subject property is zoned Industrial and consists of two lots totalling <br />apprOXimately 9 acres (4.7 acres and 4.3 acres) located on the north side of the existing <br />Gamefime Sports Park facility. ..~ <br /> <br />That t, he Applicant has signed a purchase agreement for Lot 1, Block 1, Hy-10 Ramsey that <br />is contingent upon the successful acquisition of the adjacent property to the west currenfly <br />in taxtforfeiture proceedings and the City's approval of a conditional use permit application <br />to develop the lots with a golf driving range. <br /> <br />That the adjacent properties to the north and west are also zoned Industrial and the adjacent <br />property to the east and the property on the south side of Hwy. #10 N.W. is zoned B-3 <br />HighWay Business. <br /> <br />That on April 26, 1988, the City Council issued a conditional use permit to the Subject <br />Property for the establishment of an outdoor recreational facility in the Industrial District <br />that would include miniature golf, go-cart track, bumper boats and roller rink. <br /> <br />That on April 26, 1994, the City Council issued a conditional use permit to expand the <br />recreational facility to include batting cages. <br /> <br />That the Applicant is proposing acquire the adjacent 10 acres and expand the outdoor <br />recreational use by the addition of a golf driving range. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has submitted a site plan for the facility prepared by LHB Engineers and <br />Architects dated 9/10/94 which shows the area proposed for the golf driving range. <br /> <br />9. That access to the recreational facility will continue to be from Ferret St. N.W. <br /> <br /> <br />
