The following is a brief summary of actions taken by the <br />City Council that may be of interest to the Planning Commission: <br /> <br />Request for an Interim Use Permit to Allow for Outdoor Storage on an Unimproved Surface tn <br />the R-1 Residential District; Case of RV World, Inc. The City Council denied the request for IUP <br />but allowed the applicant until October 30, 2006 to vacate the premises. <br /> <br />Request for Preliminary Site Plan Approval of ACCAP-Ramsey Town Center Apartments; Case <br />of Anoka County Community Action Program, Inc. The City Council granted preliminary site <br />plan approval to the project. While additional approvals are needed from the City, the applicant <br />expects to break ground in 2007. <br /> <br />Request for Final Plat, Final Site Plan, and Rezoning Request for Shade Tree Cottages; Case of <br />Shade Tree Communities, LLC. The City Council granted final plat and final site plan approval <br />for this project. <br /> <br />Selection of Developer for Ramsey Crossings Project. The City Council selected Robert Muir <br />Co. as the master developer for the Ramsey Crossings project. Construction is expected to begin <br />in Summer 2007. <br /> <br />Request for Comprehensive Plan Amendment; Case of Thomas Peterson. The City Council <br />approved the request to change the applicant's land use designation from Residential to Places to <br />Work. Staff was directed to delay submittal of the amendment to the Metropolitan Council until <br />a site plan and rezoning application are submitted. <br /> <br />Request for Final Plat of Ebony Addition: Case of City of Ramsey. The City Council adopted the <br />final plat for Ebony Addition. This land will be developed as a future industrial business. <br />Request for Preliminary Plat, Preliminary Site Plan, and Rezoning Request for GADS Prairie; <br />Case of Aaron Stritesky Construction. After discussion regarding the access issues associated <br />with this development and the adjoining properties, the City Council approved the preliminary <br />plat, site plan and rezoning of GADS Prairie. The preliminary plat only approved 7 new lots, <br />with two lots being converted to outlots to allow for a temporary cul-de-sac. <br /> <br />Request for Final Plat Approval of Prairie Meadows (Formerly Rum River Prairie); Case of <br />National Growth, LLC. and Request for Final Plat Approval of Kelly Acres; Case of Kelly Wolf <br />and John Osborne. The City Council approved the final plats of Prairie Meadows and Kelly <br /> <br />167 <br /> <br /> <br />
