Commissioner Cleveland indicated that she worked with Anoka County on a number of these <br />projects. She stated that there are a number of very good professionals on the project, and she is <br />confident they have chosen the best location. She thanked the County for looking out for <br />Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Vice Chairperson Johnson, Commissioners Brauer, Cleveland, <br />Shepherd, and Van Scoy. She stated that the <br />property is approximately two acres in size and is zoned R~2 Medium Density Residential, <br />permitting development at up to 7 dwelling units per acre. She indicated that the properties to <br />the north and east are developed and zoned R-1 Residential, permitting up to three dwelling units <br />per acre. She stated that the two vacant parcels south of the subject property totaling <br />approximately 6 acres are zoned R-2 Medium Density Residential. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Frolik indicated that Staff would recommend that <br />no decision in regards to the application be made at this time. She stated that since public <br />heating notices were sent out, the Planning Commission should open the public heating and take <br />comments. <br /> <br />Public Input <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Johnson opened the public heating at 9:54 p.m. <br /> <br />Lawrence Olson, representing the developer, indicated that this is a two-acre parcel that would <br />have developed with the Amber Ridge Development. He stated that at the request of the City <br />they held offuntil the realignment of Highway 47 could be worked out.
