Sara Narr, 6100 151 st Lane, indicated that she has a petition with 46 signatures. She read
the petition, in opposition of the development. She stated that they purchased homes in a
single-family zoning district, and they have a right to expect that the City will maintain
that zoning. She indicated that when she bought her lot she did because she loved how
quiet it was. She stated that she worked at the same job for seven years and it takes her
more and more time to get to work. She indicated that her husband works downtown and
it takes him as long to get offHighway 5 as it does to get downtown.

Ms. Narrr indicated that you cannot put more traffic that will be trying to get onto
Highway 5. She stated that this needs to be single-family homes in keeping with the area.
She indicated that she loves Ramsey; she grew up here, but she hates this. She stated that
the City is giving up what Ramsey is, and allowing this type of development to happen is
compromising Ramsey. She indicated that it is not only the safety of the residents, but
also what people will think of Ramsey in ten years. She stated she appreciates the
upscale development, but hopes they can bring this back to single-family to keep with the
community.

Joel Anderson, 6080 151st Lane, showed the areas around the proposal, .and how dense
the proposed project area looks. He stated he wanted to point out how the neighborhood
is now, and how it will be.

Robin Moody, 6040 151st Lane, stated that she wanted to touch on a few points in the
letter. She indicated that not too long ago she considered moving to the south suburbs
with her husband, since his children live in that area. She stated that they decided to stay
here because they love the area, and decided to expand their home. She indicated that
they have started that process, and then they see this. She stated that they thought the
area would remain single-family, and this concerns them. She indicated that it concerns
her that there will be 118 more cars a block from an elementary school. She stated it is
already scary now.

Ms. Moody indicated that when she comes home at night and is waiting to mm there are
cars illegally passing her to get around her. She stated she thinks these are viable
concerns.

Ken Shank, 5908 151st Lane, stated his wife is in education, and noticed an article about
Ramsey having the largest kindergarten classes in the Twin Cities. He asked where all
the kids from 60 homes will go to school. He stated that Ramsey does not have the
school structure to house all of these children.

Simeon Wiechmarm, 16351 Olivine Street, stated he is in support of this development.
He indicated he looked at this proposal and it is very well put together. He agreed that
Ramsey is a great place to live, and he thinks the City needs to get it booming. He stated
that he likes the features that would be included in this development.

Julie Johnson, 15170 Quicksilver, asked if the developer has a second plan for single-
family homes.

42
