<br />directed staff to bring back a case to enter into a contract with the lobbyist, at which time the <br />lobbyist will likely meet with the Council. <br /> <br />Funding Authorization to Move Abandoned Trailer from Citv Right-of-Wav <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen indicated there was a request from staff to authorize $2,000 from the <br />Council Contingency Fund to move the abandoned trailer on Highway lOin front of the NAU <br />building. The recommendation of the Committee was to approve the request. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Strommen, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to ratify the <br />recommendation of the Finance Committee in Committee Input, and to authorize $2,000 from <br />the Council Contingency Fund to move the abandoned trailer located on Highway 10 in front of <br />the NAU building. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Strommen, Elvig, Cook, Olson, <br />and Pearson. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Jeffrey. <br /> <br />MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br /> <br />No-Whistle Zone Request <br /> <br />Councilmember Olson stated she received a letter from a resident of Northfork inquiring about <br />the possibility of a No Whistle Zone for Northfork. He has brought this issue to the Northfork <br />Association, and they are all in agreement of a No Whistle Zone. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman indicated the City needs to make some improvements before an <br />application can be submitted for a No Whistle Zone. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig noted improvements have been made to the Ramsey Boulevard crossing, <br />and improvements to the Armstrong Boulevard crossing is planned for next year. The Alpine <br />Drive crossing, which is closer to Northfork has not been scheduled yet. <br /> <br />Ramsey Soccer <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig announced Ramsey Soccer played in the Lakeville Soccer Tournament; <br />the U 15 team placed third in the tournament, and the U 16 team swept the tournament and is still <br />unbeaten. <br /> <br />Scheduling of Special City Council Meeting <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman announced a special Council meeting has been scheduled for <br />Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will include a two item agenda, including a <br />Charter amendment in regards to assessments and a closed session in relation to Potassium" <br />Street.
