<br />C CASE # 1 <br /> <br />CONSIDER ENDING PROBATIONARY PERIOD <br />FOR PAID ON-CALL FIRE FIGHTERS <br /> <br />Givonna Reed Kone, Human Resources Manager <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />During the spring of 2005 the City conducted a recruitment process for paid on-call fire <br />fighters. On July 20, 2005 and August 10,2005 Douglas Olejnicak, John Atchison, <br />Robert Moser, Kirk Hughes, and Christopher Hanson were hired as paid on-call fire <br />fighters. These individuals will have successfully completed their one-year probationary <br />period including all necessary training on July 20, 2006 and August 10, 2006. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation <br /> <br />Pending satisfactory completion of the one-year probationary period, staff recommends <br />that the following individuals be retained as paid on-call fire fighters effective on the <br />following dates: <br /> <br />Douglas Olejnicak <br />John Atchison <br />Robert Moser <br />Kirk Hughes <br />Christopher Hanson <br /> <br />City Council Action: <br /> <br />July 20, 2006 <br />July 20, 2006 <br />July 20, 2006 <br />July 20, 2006 <br />August 10, 2006 <br /> <br />Motion recommending that pending satisfactory completion of the probationary periods <br />the City Council adopt a resolution ending the probationary periods and granting status as <br />paid on-call fire fighters on the following dates: <br /> <br />Douglas Olejnicak <br />John Atchison <br />Robert Moser <br />Kirk Hughes <br />Christopher Hanson <br /> <br />CC 07-11-06 <br /> <br />July 20, 2006 <br />July 20, 2006 <br />July 20, 2006 <br />July 20, 2006 <br />August 10,2006 <br /> <br />-89- <br />
