Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION g95-07-157 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0382 RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FOR A HOME OCCUPATION ON THE PROPERTY GENERALLY <br />KNOWN AS 14794 KRYPTON COURT N.W. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Diane Dempsey, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", has properly applied <br />for a Home Occupation to conduct doll-making classes on the property generally known as 14794 <br />Krypton Court N.W. and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 5, Block 3, WOOD POND HILLS 3RD ADDITION; Anoka County, State of <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />(the "Subject Property") <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That. the Applicant appeared before the Planning and Zoning Commission for a public <br />hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.04 (Conditional Use Permits) and Section 9.11.04 (Home <br />Occupations) of the Ramsey City Code on May 3, 1994 and that said public hearing was <br />properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing were incorporated into <br />Findings of Fact g0362 by reference. <br /> <br />That in the absence of neighbors in the newly developing neighborhood, the Ramsey City <br />Council granted an interim use permit for the home occupation for a one year period. <br /> <br />That in accordance with the terms of the interim use permit issued on May 3, 1994, the <br />Applicant has reapplied for a home occupation permit. <br /> <br />That the Applicant reappeared before the Planning Commission for a public hearing <br />pursuant to Section 9.03.04 (Conditional Use Permits) and Section 9.11.04 (Home <br />Occupations) of the Ramsey City Code on July 5, 1995 and that said public heating was <br />properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated as a <br />part of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />That the subject property is zoned R-1 Urban Residential and is approximately 13,000 <br />square feet in size. <br /> <br />6. That commercial activities are not a permitted use in the R-1 Urban Residential District. <br /> <br />7. That the subject property is.surrounded by R-1 Urban Residential zoning. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has provided documentation to support that the home occupation will be <br />conducted within the private dwelling on the property and that the area set aside for the <br />home occupation does not exceed 20% of the total floor area of the private dwelling. <br /> <br />9. That the Applicant will reside at the location of the proposed home occupation. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has stated that the home occupation will not include any employment of <br />persons not residing in the private dwelling in the performance of the home occupation. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has stated that there will be no exterior storage of business equipment <br />and materials. <br /> <br /> <br />
