<br />APPROVE MINUTES <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner aids, seconded by Commissioner Lehman, to approve the following <br />Park and Recreation Commission Regular Meeting Minutes: <br /> <br />1) Park and Recreation Commission Regular Meeting Minutes dated May 11, 2006. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Johns, Commissioners aids, Lehman, LaMere, <br />Erickson, Hansen and Shryock. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Consider Park Dedication for Gad's Prairie <br /> <br />Civil Engineer II Linton explained Mr. Aaron Stitesky has submitted a preliminary plat <br />application to develop 7 detached townhome units on the property west of Nowthen Boulevard, <br />west of Lord of Life Church. The site is 1.7 acres and zoned R-2 Medium Density. They are <br />proposing a public street with a temporary cul-de-sac that can be converted to a through street. <br />The development is in the Sunfish Lake Recreation District. <br /> <br />Civil Engineer II Linton noted the Planning Commission did not recommend approval. <br /> <br />. Commissioner aids stated with the Planning Commission not recommending approval, how that <br />affects what the Park Commission should do. <br /> <br />Civil Engineer II Linton stated it could come back totally reconfigured and could affect the <br />amount of cash that is dedicated. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shryock indicated they would not need to give a cash amount in the motion. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns asked if the area is bermed by the trail. <br /> <br />Commissioner aids stated it was not. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig wondered how wide the trail is. <br /> <br />Civil Engineer II Linton indicated it was eight feet wide in this area. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Shryock, seconded by Commissioner aids, to recommend park and <br />trail dedication in cash upon final plat approval. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Johns, Commissioners Shryock, aids, Erickson, <br />Hansen, LaMere, and Lehman. Voting No: None.
