11.

12.

13.

14.

15.

16.

17.

18.

That the Subject Property where the Super Bowl sign is proposed to be placed
currently has an 85 square foot free-standing sign fronting Hwy. #10 and one lawful
non-conforming free-standing sign fronting Riverdale Street N.W., for a total
square footage of free-standing signs in the amount of 108 square feet.

That the total amount of existing and proposed free-standing sign space requested
for the Subject Property is 180 square feet.

That there are numerous other commercial operations in the community that do not
have direct highway exposure for their identification signs.

That if the request for the placement of an additional free-standing sign on the
Subject Property is approved, it will set a precedent for off-site advertising signs,
number of free-standing signs on a single parcel, and total square footage of free-
standing sign space.

That the existing wall sign on the Super Bowl facility is visible from Hwy. #10 and
according to City Code, the Super Bowl facility is also eligible for the placement of
a 100 square foot pylon sign, up to 25 feet in height, on the same property as the
Super Bowl facility.

That if granted, the conditional use permit will grant the Applicant special privileges
that are denied by the City Code to other properties in the commercial area.

That the proposed use will not create excessive additional requirements at public
cost for public facilities and services and will not be den/mental to the economic
welfare of the community.

That the proposed use will not involve equipment and conditions of operation that
will be detrimental to any persons, property, or the general welfare by reason of
excessive production of glare.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing findings of fact was duly seconded by
Councilmember Beahen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof:

Mayor Glen Hardin
Councilmember Kenneth Peterson
Councilmember Carolyn Beahen

and the following voted against the same:

Councilmember Sheila Beyer
Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman

and the following abstained:

None

and the following were absent:

None
