Councilmember Haas Steffen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #97-04-080 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0422 TO REZONE CERTAIN <br /> PROPERTY FROM B-1 AND B-2 BUSINESS TO R-1 URBAN RESIDENTIAL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City received an application to rezone certain property in accordance <br />with Section 9.03.03 of the Ramsey City Code. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TItE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1. That Good Value Homes, Inc., hereinafter referred to as "Applicant," has properly applied <br /> to rezone certain property from B-1 and B-2 Business to R-1 Urban Residential. <br /> <br />2. That the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.03 of <br /> the City Code on April 1, 1997, and said public hearing was properly advertised, and the <br /> minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated by reference. <br /> <br />3. That the property proposed to be rezoned is legally described as follows: <br /> <br /> The East Half of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 23, Township <br /> 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota (subject to easement to Rural Co-op Power Assn., <br /> 4/12/67, and subject to 80 foot public road easement to City of Ramsey, 3/18/77); <br /> <br /> -and upon recording- <br /> <br /> Sunflower Ridge, Anoka County, Minnesota. <br /> <br />4. That the total area of the property to be rezoned is approximately twenty (20) acres in size. <br /> <br />5. That the subject property is currently zoned B-1 and B-2 Business <br /> <br />6. That the surrounding adjacent properties to the west and north are zoned residential, and the <br /> adjacent property to the east is zoned commercial. The property on the south side of 153rd <br /> Avenue NW is zoned commercial and residential. <br /> <br />7. That the Applicant is proposing to develop the plat with single family urban residential lots. <br /> <br />8. That the development of the property with urban services will facilitate the extension of <br /> trunk sewer and water to developable land situated further north in the Metropolitan Urban <br /> Service Area (MUSA). <br /> <br /> <br />
