Councilmember Haas Steffen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98-05-102 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDING OF FACT #0455 RELATING TO A REQUEST <br />FROM RICHARD N. AND CLAUDIA M. ABERLE FOR A CONDITIONAL USE <br />PERMIT TO EXCEED THE TOTAL ACCESSORY STRUCTURE SPACE AND THE <br />MAXIMUM SINGLE ACCESSORY STRUCTURE SIZE ALLOWED ON PARCELS 2 <br />TO 2.5 ACRES IN SIZE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from Richard and Claudia <br />Aberle for a conditional use permit to exceed the total accessory structure space and the <br />maximum single accessory structure size allowed on the property generally known as 17290 <br />Germanium Street NW and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 1, Block 1, Meadowbrook, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />(the "Subj ect Property") <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br /> <br />That on April 10, 1998, Richard and Claudia Aberle, hereinafter referred to as "Applicants", <br />properly applied for a conditional use permit to exceed the total allowable accessory <br />structure space and the maximum single accessory structure size allowed on parcels two to <br />two and one-half acres in size. <br /> <br />That the applicant appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public hearing <br />pursuant to Section 9.03.04 of the City Code on May 5, 1998, and that said public hearing <br />was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated <br />as a part of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />3. That the Subject Property and surrounding parcels are zoned R-1 Rural Residential. <br /> <br />4. That the Subject Property is approximately 2.3 acres in size. <br /> <br />That Section 9.11.02 of the Ramsey City Code states that on parcels between 2 and 2.5 acres <br />in size, the total of attached and detached garages or accessory buildings shall not exceed <br />2,064 square feet. <br /> <br />That the Applicants currently have 936 square feet of garage space on the Subject Property <br />and are proposing to construct an additional 1,500 square feet, for a total of 2,436 square <br />feet, which is a 372 square foot overage in total allowable garage space on the Subject <br />Property. <br /> <br /> <br />
