Councilmember Haas Steffen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #98-05-102 A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDING OF FACT #0455 RELATING TO A REQUEST FROM RICHARD N. AND CLAUDIA M. ABERLE FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO EXCEED THE TOTAL ACCESSORY STRUCTURE SPACE AND THE MAXIMUM SINGLE ACCESSORY STRUCTURE SIZE ALLOWED ON PARCELS 2 TO 2.5 ACRES IN SIZE WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from Richard and Claudia Aberle for a conditional use permit to exceed the total accessory structure space and the maximum single accessory structure size allowed on the property generally known as 17290 Germanium Street NW and legally described as follows: Lot 1, Block 1, Meadowbrook, Anoka County, Minnesota (the "Subj ect Property") NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating to the request are determined to be as follows: That on April 10, 1998, Richard and Claudia Aberle, hereinafter referred to as "Applicants", properly applied for a conditional use permit to exceed the total allowable accessory structure space and the maximum single accessory structure size allowed on parcels two to two and one-half acres in size. That the applicant appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.04 of the City Code on May 5, 1998, and that said public hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated as a part of these findings by reference. 3. That the Subject Property and surrounding parcels are zoned R-1 Rural Residential. 4. That the Subject Property is approximately 2.3 acres in size. That Section 9.11.02 of the Ramsey City Code states that on parcels between 2 and 2.5 acres in size, the total of attached and detached garages or accessory buildings shall not exceed 2,064 square feet. That the Applicants currently have 936 square feet of garage space on the Subject Property and are proposing to construct an additional 1,500 square feet, for a total of 2,436 square feet, which is a 372 square foot overage in total allowable garage space on the Subject Property.
