Councilmember Beahen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98-08-203 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0466 TO REZONE CERTAIN <br />PROPERTY FROM B-1 BUSINESS TO MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has initiated action to rezone the following legally <br />described property from B-1 Business to Multiple Residential in accordance with Section 9.03.03 <br />of the Ramsey City Code: <br /> <br />That part of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 25, Township 32, <br />Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, lying southwesterly of the southwesterly right-of- <br />way line of County State Highway No. 5 and lying easterly of the easterly right-of-way <br />line of Dysprosium Street and lying westerly of the westerly right-of-way line of Trunk <br />Highway No. 47, subject to easements of record. <br /> <br />(the "Subject Property") <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That on December 12, 1995, as part of the City's commitment to participate in the Livable <br />Communities Act, the City Council adopted Resolution 95-12-278 establishing a non-single <br />family life cycle housing goal of 10%. <br /> <br />That on April 22, 1997, the City Council adopted Resolution #97-04-079 to reallocate 1995 <br />Community Development Block Grant funds to engage a consultant to perform a senior <br />housing market study. <br /> <br />On October 28, 1997, the City Council adopted Resolution #97-10-316 declaring intent to <br />participate in the 1998 Anoka County Housing and Redevelopment Authority levy for the <br />purpose of pursuing a senior housing project in the community. <br /> <br />That on January 27, 1998, the City Council adopted Resolution #98-01-014 allocating <br />$51,494.00 ($62,783.00 when combined with $11,289.00 reallocated 1997 CDBG funds) in <br />Community Development Block Grant funds for the acquisition of land for a senior housing <br />project. <br /> <br />That on February 24, 1998, the City Council accepted the Senior Housing Market Study <br />prepared by Steve Griesert, Community Partners Research, Inc., which identified a shortage <br />in senior housing and continued growth in senior population. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98-08-203 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
