Paid On -Call Firefighters - 10 Openings Salary: $13.65 Hourly Closing Date: September 22, 2024, 11:59 p.m. The primary objectives of this position: Under the general supervision of an officer, the paid on -call firefighter responds to fire, hazmat, rescue, medical and other emergency incidents, participates in training and maintenance activities and provides fire safety education training and community relations to the public. Paid on -call firefighters must also attend regularly scheduled training to maintain the high level of knowledge, skill and ability necessary to function safely and effectively as firefighters and EMS providers per state law and standard operating procedures. The City will provide and pay for all formal (required) training. No previous experience is necessary. Police Officer Salary: $33.51 Hourly Closing Date: September 22, 2024, 11:59 p.m. The primary objectives of this position: Police Officers maintain order, keeping the peace and responding to citizen's needs. Discourage crimes through high -visibility policing, investigative capability and the subsequent reporting and apprehension of suspected violators of the law. The position reports to the Police Sergeant. This is an LELS Union position The 2024 wage scale is as follows: 1st Year $33.515/hour 2nd Year $35.749/hour 3rd Year $40.217/hour 4th Year $42.4525/hour Top $44.686/hour Temporary Ice Rink Attendant Salary: $13.00 - $14.00 Hourly Closing Date: November 5, 2024, 11:59 p.m. The primary objectives of this position: To maintain the warming house during the skating season through responsible, safety -minded work as a part-time temporary Ice Rink Attendant at Central Park. Weather permitting, the warming house is expected to open Friday, December 20, 2024 and will remain open for approximately ten (10) weeks. The warming house is typically open from 3:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on weekdays, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturdays and from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 8:00 p.m. on Sundays. During the holidays when schools are on winter break, the rinks will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the weekdays, depending on weather conditions.
