Staff Report

- 2 -

March 17, 1983

5. ~67th Extension: A public hearing of this project was held
on February 22, 1983. A decision on ordering this project was
tabled until the March 22, 1983 council meeting.

6. Rum River Watershed Trunk Feasibility: I will not be completing
this feasibility until the City Council adopts the assessment
ordinance. In addition, the City Council has not adopted a
resolution establishing the rates for storm drainage
improvement charges.

I plan to have cost estimates on the trunk facilities available
for review at your March 21, 1982 special meeting. I will also
update a resolution for establishing storm drainage rates for
review at your special meeting.

7.

Northwest Mayors Meeting:
Jean Schlueter and myself
west mayors in this area.

On March 16, 1983, Councilmember
attended a meeting for the north-

The main purpose of the meeting was to meet the new Chairman
of the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission, George Frisch.
The schedule for the CAB Interceptor was also discussed and
George Lusher, Chief Administrator from the MWCC, indicated
that construction would begin in September of 1983 and be
completed by the end of 1984.

Mr. Lusher also handed out a projected schedule of sewer
service charges, which is attached to this report. The
costs are for 100,000 gallons of wastewater, which is
estimated as the average annual flow from one household.

,
/
