This expansion will mean the. adding of approximately. . <br />eight:. to ten new jobs at the WALTEK industrial. facility. <br /> <br />: <br /> <br />4) How are they benefitting? - The industries that locate in this <br />industrial.land adjacent to the landfill where the City of Ramsey <br />is planning on using Community Development Block Grant funds <br />for the development of methane gas energies will benefit.by: <br /> <br />a) <br />b) <br /> <br />Cheaper energy costs <br />The use of economic development funds for the develop- <br />ment of the area will mean a lower cost for development <br />by industries and also lower interest.rates. <br /> <br />/ <br /> <br />5) How many persons are low income? -. It is anticipated that most <br />of the hiring will be at the entry level and mid level. Conse- <br />quently, below and moderate income persons will definitely be <br />benefitting in the use of these economic development funds. <br /> <br />III. If Site "p" becomes a reality then <br />we would see further'involvement -at a larger magnitude for economic <br />development for industries and the use of a low cost energy which would <br />be provided by the existing landfill and the new landfill. If the pro- <br />posed landfill never becomes a reality, the existing landfill then would <br />be expanded to its fullest uses in providing low cost energy as would be <br />the case if the proposed one were developed. <br /> <br />/ <br /> <br />. <br />
