<br />Councilmember <br />adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #88- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING THE SUFFICIENCY OF A PETITION TO SUBJECT ORDINANCE 187-7 <br />TO A REFERENDUM AND SETTING A DATE FOR A SPECIAL ELECTION <br /> <br />~~EREAS, on November 12, 1987 a petition to subject Ordinance ~87-7 <br />to a referendum was filed in the office of the City Administrator; and <br /> <br />~~EREAS, the petition submitted on November 12, 1987 was determined <br />to be insufficient by the City Council on November 23, 1987; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on December 18, 1987 additional signatures to be applied to <br />the petition to subject Ordinance t87-7 to a referendum were filed in the <br />office of tbe City Administrator; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on December 28, 1987 and December 29, 1987 the City <br />Administrator received statements from individuals requesting that their <br />signature be removed from the petition to subject Ordinance t87-7 to a <br />referendum vote; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on December 29, 1987 the City Administrator received <br />statements from individuals requesting that their signature remain on a <br />petition to subject Ordinance t87-7 to a referendum; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on December 29, 1987 the City Administrator mailed a report <br />of sufficiency to Councilmembers and the circulators of the petition to subject <br />Ordinance ~87-7 to a referendum vote. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF HINh~SOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That a petition to subject Orcinance tB7-7 to a referendum vote <br />has been found to be sufficient on December 29, 1987. <br /> <br />2) That the City Council hereby estatlishes , 1988 <br />as a date to hold a special election on the question of the adoption of <br />Orcinance #B7-7 (Airport Zoning Ordinance) and hereby instructs the City <br />Administrator to make apprcp=iate arrangements for said election. <br /> <br />The motion for the <br />Councilmember <br />faver thereof: <br /> <br />adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted <br /> <br />by <br />in <br /> <br />and tbe following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and tbe following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said rest1ution was declared duly paSSEd and adopted by the Ramsey <br />City Council this the 12th day of January, 198B. <br /> <br />4( <br />
