Jim Howell <br />Mr. Michael Terry <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Community Development Director Anne Norris <br />City Attorney ~illiam Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman called the public hearing to order at 7:34 p.m. <br /> <br />crnZEI' IKPUT <br /> <br />Mr. Dick Carson _ Stated that tbe subject area is part of the FlintwoOd <br />Eills PUD and when it was originally platted, tbese 3 outlots (proposed now <br />to be Flintwood 5) were intended to be developed at some point in time witb <br />4-unit buildings; that concept was tben changed to cluster homes. Toe plan <br />is to now develop tbose 3 outlots witb a 4-unit building, a 6-unit building <br />and a 5,000 square foot commercial o:fice building. <br /> <br />Stan Data _ 5510 140th Lane ".W. - Stated his property borders Lot 1 of the <br />proposed plat; that be is present speaking on bebalf of bis neighbors also; <br />apologizes if bis following statement offends anybody but he is trying to <br />protect bis home equity, security and quality of life: <br /> <br />I'I regard Hr. Carson's request for building apz%tment buildings and <br />of:ice building right next to my lot and my neighbors lots as a public <br />provocation 0: me and my neighbors. Back in Kovember 1983, 1 and my <br />neighbors stood before this co~:ssion ~ith ~=. Carson present and stated <br />publicly and in writing tbe reasons why bigb density bousing and commercial <br />property immediately bordering our bo:es was and still is unacceptable to <br />us. He and possibly this commission have afparently forgotten these <br />reasons si~ce ~e are gathered togetber sgain today to discuss the same <br />issue.
