<br />- . <br />OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL <br />FOR <br />SANITARY SEWER COLLECTION SYSTEM <br />AND <br />WATER SUPPLY AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM <br /> <br />SECTION 1 - INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />1. 01 <br /> <br />PURPOSE AND SCOPE <br /> <br />This manual has been prepared to assist the City and the contractor's <br /> <br />personnel in the operation and maintenance of the sanitary sewer <br /> <br />collection system and the water supply and distribution system. <br /> <br />The sanitary sewer facilities covered are described in Section 1.02. <br /> <br />The water facilities covered are described in Section 1.03. The <br /> <br />sanitary sewer and water facilities are shown on the as-built plan <br /> <br />sheets included in the Appendix of this manual. Figure A is a project <br /> <br />location map of the sanitary sewer system and Figure B is a project <br /> <br />location map of the water system. <br /> <br />The manual outlines basic inspection and maintenance procedures. A <br /> <br />suggested record system for ~anhole inspection and maintenance, and <br /> <br />recommended safety precautions and practices are also covered. <br /> <br />Finally, the manual susgests guidelines concerning manpower and <br /> <br />operator qualifications and outlines of the State of Minnesota's <br /> <br />certification requirements. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />~ <br />
