1.02 SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM DESCRIPTION.
The gravity collection system described in this manual serves the
southeastern part of the city. construction of the sanitary sewer
system was started in 1984. The system includes only collection lines
and does not include any lift stations, on-site disposal systems,
treatment facilities, or metering stations.

The collection system discharges into the MWCC interceptor system at
two locations, the intersection of Dysprosium Street and Industry
Avenue N.W., and on the north side of the Burlington Northern Railroad
approximately 1/2 mile east of Sunfish Lake Boulevard. The flow is
metered at these tWD locations in metering manholes operated by the
MWCC.

The collection system consists of 8"-15" polyvinyl chloride pipe (PVC)

and 18"-30" reinforced concrete pipe (RCP), and 4' diameter access

manholes. with 27" round covers.

As-built plans of all sanitary sewer lines constructed are on file at
the city Hall, and are incorporated in this O&M manual by reference.
A map of the collection system is included in this O&M manual as
Figure A. A tabulation of sewer pipe and manholes follows in Table I.

2

?O
