NW <br />Ramsey, Mn. 55303 <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor and City Council; <br />City of Ramsey, Minnesota <br /> <br />In response to your request for applications from interested <br />parties to fill the vacancy on the city council for the seat <br />vacated by Councilman Arnie Cox. I hereby apply to fill that <br />vacancy. <br /> <br />My experience with applicable activities in the city of Ramsey is <br />as follows. <br /> <br />Past president of the Ramsey Lions. <br />president when the annual Ramsey community picnic <br />was started and Central Park shelter was built. <br />presently a district cabinet chairperson of Lions <br />Clubs International. <br /> <br />Chair~erson of the Ramsey Community School <br />Council (term to expire 9/88) and involved <br />Commupicator program as a Key communicator <br />neighborhood. <br /> <br />I wasl the team leader for the Keep America Beautiful <br />project team that established the "Make the Scene, Keep <br />Ramsey Clean" committee and accomplished getting Ramsey <br />certified in the KAB system. I am presently a member <br />of th~ Make the Scene, Keep Ramsey Clean committee. <br /> <br />I have been empllOyed by Control Data Corporation for 18 years. <br />My job function's include design, development, and delivery of <br />computer hardw~re and related training courses. <br /> <br />I am a charter Imember of Rum River Hills golf club. <br /> <br />My education hJs been primarily from the industry that I have <br />been ~orking i~, this included, technical, leadership, and <br />managerial training. <br /> <br />As you are awaJe, I have attended many council meetings and <br />always try to keep abreast of the key issues within the city of <br />Ramsey. I am ~ruly concerned with the future of our city and <br />feel that I can serve well as a member of the city Council. TO <br />further reinforce my feelings, I do intend to file for election <br />to city council this fall.
