A Personnel Oomnittee meeting was held on Thursday, August 1, 1985 at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: Councilmember Al Sorteberg <br />Councilmember Gary Reimann <br />1 Also Present: City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />Director of Technical Services Clayton Berg <br />Chief of Police Michael Auspos <br />Matt Nelson - Union Representative From AFSCmE <br />CALL 'in ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 8 :03 a.m. <br />' CITIZEN INP[TT <br />None. <br />i COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br />' Case #1: Police Negotiations: <br />Mr. Schnelle reviewed, in detail, his memo to the Personnel 03 mittee contained <br />in the agenda as Enclosure 1. <br />Wuncilmember Reimann referred to the last sentence in the memo regarding being <br />able to prove economic inaedquacy to the arbitrator and stated that private <br />' business and cities are two different factors. If private business can pass <br />the cost of the increase onto the consumer, then he feels comfortable with the <br />increase. With respect to government, people feel that it is alright because <br />' the cost will be passed onto the taxpayer. <br />W.
