Chairman Peterson <br />stated that Mr. Lee Johnson has also resigned from the Omudssion and the <br />vacancy is being advertised. <br />Case #2: 8 eat For Prelimiry gy Plat Anoroval Of SortCb"S s 4t_h <br />' Addition: Case Of Mr. Al Sortebera: <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Oommissioner Zimmerman to <br />' recommend approval of the request for preliminary plat approval of Sorteberg's <br />4th Addition contingent upon oompliance with those items listed in City <br />FYhgineer letter dated August 9, 1985, with the exception of Item #2, soil <br />borings, to which a variance is reccamerded. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Ooamissioners Zimmerman, <br />Shumway, Deemer and Herdriksen. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner <br />' LaDue. <br />#� =est For Sketch Plan Review: Case Of Mr. Wavne Knudsmo <br />Mr. Knudson was present. <br />' Page 3 of 5 <br />Oommission consensus is that Mr. Knudson should proceed to the preliminary plat <br />' <br />stage with an east /west plat configuration and extending 152nd through the <br />plat; Commission is agreeable to granting sufficient variances to allow for 6, <br />rather than 5, lots in the plat if the developer provides for extending 152nd <br />through the plat. <br />' <br />+Pst For Conditional Use Permit For Home Ck.c Moon: QM& (>F <br />dr. Donald Ness: <br />Mr. Ness was present and stated that he is requesting approval to operate a <br />hone occupation in order to store his business equipment and materials at his <br />' <br />residence; the business does not create additional traffic to the neighborhood. <br />Commission reviewed the findings of fact. Cormissioner Deemer referred to Item <br />5.d in the findings of fact standards for consideration Chat there are similar <br />' <br />uses in the CLty of Ramsey) , and stated that he knows of no other legal similar <br />uses in Ramsey; there are similar non-- conforming uses but non- conforming uses <br />should not be classified as a standard for consideration. <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer to delete Item #5.d from the proposed findings of <br />fact in the case of Mr. Donald Ness. <br />' <br />Further Discussion: Chairman Peterson stated that ordinance requires that the <br />subject of similar uses be addressed. <br />August 12, 1985 <br />' Page 3 of 5 <br />
