' Council recessed at 9x39 p.m. Mayor Heitman called the meeting back to order at 9:53 p.m. ' July 23, 1985 Agenda Items Continued - Case #8: Request For MoMprary 3.2 Beer i �P*+RP 7 As A�ol.a ' Volunteer Fire Dgpartment C. - Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Coun Reimann ' to approve of granting a temporary 3.2 beer license fran 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on September 8, 1985 for the Anoka Volunteer Fire Department to ber held at the St. Anthony Gun Club, City of Ramsey. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmenbers ODx, Sorteberg, Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. ' Case #8: Request For Temoorary 3.2 Beer ic=e rase Of Ramsey jaygg= Notion by Councilmenber Cox and seconded by councilmenber Sorteberg to approve ' of granting a temporary 3.2 beer license fran 9 :00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on August 23 and 24, 1985 and from 12:00 noon to 9 :00 p.m. on August 25, 1985 for the Ramsey Jaycees for Ramsey Days 1 85. ' Notion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmenbers Sorteberg, Reimann, Schlueter and Cox. Voting No: None. ' Case 19: Request For Temporary 2 Beer Lice Case Of Lion Club: ' Motion ty Councilmenber Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to approve of granting a temporary 3.2 beer license from 10 :00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on August 24 and 25, 1985 for the Ramsey Lions Club for the sand drags. Further Discussion: Mayor Heitman noted for the record that one of the primary movers of the previous petition brought before the City regarding the sand drags was satisfied with the efforts made by the Lions to acconodate citizen concerns. Mayor Heitman stated that he hopes the Lions Club will continue in this vein. Councilu tuber Cox stated tha this motion is based on the fact that the City expects the Lions Club to provide the same type of control that was demonstrated with the last sand drags and the Lions Club should be advised of this.
