Mr. Goodrich <br />stated that the Hunt family feels they are accepting sane drainage <br />burden due to engineering reasons and feel that there is an illegal <br />sign referencing the shopping center area. <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that the City Staff will research the legallity <br />of the sign in question. <br />Council took no further action. <br />Council noted that a resolution for setting public hearing dates <br />for River's Bend, Oxbow Addition, Flintwood Hills Second Addition <br />and Ramsey Terrace will be presented to Council for adoption on <br />August 27. <br />Park and Recreation Commission Chairman Dennis Donovan was present <br />and stated that City Engineer Raatikka engaged 3 firms to do a <br />lighting study; it is the recommendation of the Park Board to go <br />with the Musco lighting plan which includes wood light poles. <br />ODuncilmember Cox suggested that some consideration be given to <br />utilizing cement poles. <br />Motion ty Councilmenber Cox and seconded ty Councilmeiber Reiman <br />to adopt Resolution #85 -138 ordering plans and specifications for <br />lighting Central Park. (Please refer to resolution file for <br />Resolution #85 -138). <br />Notion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, CDuncilmeibers Cox, <br />Sorteberg, Reiman and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br />Mr. Dennis Donovan stated that he has heard many favorable comments <br />regarding Central Park and he will call ODuncilmember Cox regarding <br />cement light poles and Councilmember Cox's omments in past minutes <br />regarding the Park Board not being up to speed. <br />Notion by CDuncilmember Schlueter and seconded by councilmember Cox <br />to approve of Ms. Carol Bryant's appeal to the Director of <br />Technical Services' directive dated February 14, 1985 which will <br />allow her to continue using the on -site septic system as it is <br />until such time as other problems arise, and further, that any <br />future problems will require immediate installation of an on -site <br />sysstem in compliance with the present code. <br />Notion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, councilmambers cox, <br />Sorteberg, Schlueter and Reiman. Voting No: None. <br />August 13, 1985 <br />Page 12 of 22 <br />
