PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br />BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />CITY OF RAMLSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />A Board of Adjustment was conducted on Tuesday, August 13, 1985 at the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: Councilmember Jean Schlueter, Chairperson <br />Mayor Gary Heitman <br />Oouncilmember Arnie Cox <br />Councilmember Al Sorteberg <br />Also Present: City Administrator Lloyd Scinelle <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Reporter Angela Flint <br />Members Absent: Councilmember Gary Reimann <br />CALL <br />l� ••��• <br />Chairperson Schlueter called the Boa <br />BUSI <br />Case #1; Reauest For Variance To Construct Accessory Building Larger <br />L. <br />Permitted By .y !!' Of Mr. Peter Niede <br />Mayor Heitman noted that across the street from Mr. Nieder there is a residence <br />with an oversized accessory building, as well as a smaller storage structure, <br />and the property owner has a mobile home, boat, car, etc., parked in the <br />driveway and not stored in these buildings; what guarantee is there that Mr. <br />Nieder will be using this accessory building to keep his vehicles under cover. <br />Mr. Nieder stated that the party across the street awns a construction company <br />and moved into the area about a year ago; he doesn't know what that neighbor is <br />using his accessory building for. Mr. Nieder stated that he first requested an <br />accessory building two years ago and was denied; in April, 1985 he received a <br />letter from the City regarding the number of vehicles on his property and <br />siting it as a safety hazard; Mr. Schnelle researched previous records of his <br />application and the proceedings of it were not handled properly; based on this <br />it was determined that he reapply with the fee being waived. Mr. Nieder stated <br />that he wants to keep his property clean and he means it when he says he will <br />use the building to store his vehicles. <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox to adopt Findings of Fact 0118, amended to state a <br />' building size of 30' x 34 for Mr. Pieter Nieder's Board of Adjustment <br />variance.
