Standards Standards for all business and industrial districts shall be as specified in this chapter unless specified otherwise in this Section. 1. Building Design and Construction: a. All exterior wall finishes on any building con- structed shall be of material other than metal on at least fifty percent (50') of the exposed wall where the building is adjacent to any other exist- ing or future structure or street. The Planning CommiSsion, City Council and/or requirements of the State Building Code may change the requi re- ments of this pllragraph depending on the relative location of the building and surrounding areas. b. All buildings in the business districts shall be of 2Ype III or Iv oonstruction as defined in the Minnesota State Building Code. All buildings shall be constructed of no/H:Ombustible material and shall have frost footings constructed in compliance with the State Building Q)de. 2. Wastes: All solid waste material and refuse shall be stored within a completely creened structure or container deSigned for such purpose. All hazardous wastes shall be disposed of in accordance with M.P.C.A. Regulations on Hazardous Wastes as adopted June 18, 1979 and contained in 6MCAR Minnesota Code of Agency Rules, Paragraphs 4.9001 - 4.90l0. !be City Engineer shall prescribe the manner of sewage treatment and disposal in the case of large volume water useage. Section 150.01 of the City Code shall also regulate wastes with exception that there needs to a oontiguousarea for the installation of three soil absorption systems based on water useage. 3. Off-street parking a. Design and C'oilstruction: Off-street parking areas shall be so designed that vehicles ~ be parked in an convenient and orderly fashion. Parking areas shall be surfaced and main- tained with a hard, all-weather, durable, dust-free surfacing material, shall be properly drained, and shall be maintained in a sightly and well-kept con- dition.
