Mr. Graczyk noted <br />that his estimate of hours worked only goes to December 20; the balance of 1985 <br />fell in the middle of a payroll and has not yet been reviewed. Mr. Goodrich <br />inquired if Council is considering this compensation for Mr. Wirz in 1986 also. <br />Mayor Heitman stated that the estimated back pay for 1985 so far is <br />approximately $1,000; what did the City buy for that $1,0001 Mr. Goodrich <br />stated that the City got a person to do inspections and assessing; he doesn't <br />know if all the work in both departments was accomplisbed but the person did <br />have a greater responsibility. Mayor Heitman stated that he didn't expect all <br />the work in both departments to be completely done but he expected that tbe <br />recoup time would be minimal when the new building inspector does come on <br />board. Mayor Heitman stated that he does not agree with a salary compensation <br />for added responsibility if it turns out that there was only a ahifting of <br />duties and one department falls way behind. <br /> <br />i-. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: <br />Schlueter. Voting Bo: None. <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg and <br />Absent: Councilmembers Reimann and Cox. <br /> <br />r. <br />~' <br />f <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman stated that this action involves implications that have to be <br />considered before continuing this policy in 1986. Mayor Heitman directed that <br />this issue be on the next Council meeting agenda with the following information <br />available: <br /> <br />1. How many actual hours were worked. <br />2. How much comp time was earned during the time frame. <br />3. How many overtime hours worked. <br />4. Total hours worked. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich suggeated that Mr. Wirz be present at the next Council meeting to <br />present to Council a status report of the Assessing and Building Departments. <br /> <br />ADJOURJIIMElIlT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Schlueter to <br />adjourn the special Council meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: <br />Schlueter.
