ORDINANCE #24-18 <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 58 UTILITIES OF THE CITY CODE: <br /> REGARDING THE DECLARATION OF A CRITICAL WATER DEFICIENCY <br /> The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> SECTION 1. AUTHORITY <br /> This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the City Charter of the City of <br /> Ramsey. <br /> SECTION 2. AMENDMENT TO CITY CODE SECTION 58-118 AS FOLLOWING: <br /> Sec. 58-118.—Sprinkling: limitation municipal water system. <br /> (e) Exemptions. Watering of food or medicinal garden plants will be exempt from the odd-even <br /> watering ban. Newly sodded or seeded yards will be exempt from the odd-even restriction for a <br /> period of two weeks. Overseeding or spot repair of existing established yards may be watered <br /> every day with a hand controlled hose. No watering will be allowed between 12:00 noon and <br /> 6:00 p.m. for these exemptions. Exemptions not subject to the afternoon restriction include car <br /> washing, filling of children's swimming pools, and children playing in hose operated sprinklers <br /> or water toys. <br /> SECTION 3. SUMMARY <br /> The following official summary of Ordinance #24-18 has been approved by the City Council of <br /> the City of Ramsey as clearly informing the public of the intent and effect of the Ordinance: <br /> Chapter 58 UTILITIES is hereby amended to grant a watering ban exemption to food or <br /> medicinal garden plants. <br /> SECTION 4. EFFECTIVE DATE <br /> This Ordinance becomes effective 30 days after its passage and publication, subject to City <br /> Charter section 5.04. <br /> ADOPTED this th day of , 20241 by the City Council of the City of Ramsey. <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br />
